John Gomez

Originally from Madrid, John Gómez has been dubbed by Boiler Room as “one of London’s best kept secrets”, a reputation earned through dedication to unearthing soulful sounds from around the globe. With a penchant for Brazilian music and an insatiable musical curiosity, Gómez is a versatile DJ whose talent has secured him invitations to play around the globe in myriad dance-ready contexts, from large festival stages to intimate basements.

He’s known for his influential Outro Tempo compilation series for Music From Memory, which has been called “the label's crowning jewel” and named one of the “Reissues of the Decade” by Resident Advisor. He’s also a well-loved radio host, programming his own “The Spaces in Between” on NTS and presenting one of the station’s flagship morning programmes, the award-winning “Soup to Nuts,” where he dissolves genre boundaries on a weekly basis. Gómez also runs Tangent, one of London’s most exciting and long-running club nights with esteemed digger Nick the Record, where they share their most prized sounds from decades of digging disco, boogie, left-field electronica and beyond.
